Abilities are actions that every hero has that provides some benefit to the player, defense, pet or otherwise. Abilities may be cast-able, or may be continuously active at the cost of a player's mana. Abilities may be strengthened by equipping hero-specific runes. Most heroes have 3 abilities; every hero shares the Channel Heal ability, this ability is every hero's third ability.
Abilities that can be continuously active drain 4 mana per second, increasing 1 additional mana every 10 seconds. This cost is reset back to 4 mana per second once the ability is toggled off, or the player no longer has enough mana to keep the ability active [0].
